NIBP Measurement Range
NONINVASIVE BLOOD PRESSURE MEASUREMENT:-The noninvasive auscultatory (from the Latin for listening) and oscillometric measurements are simpler and quicker than invasive measurements, require less expertise in fitting, have virtually no complications, and are less unpleasant and painful for the patient. However, non-invasive measures may yield somewhat lower accuracy and small systematic differences in numerical results. Non-invasive measurement methods are more commonly used for routine examinations and monitoring.
The omron blood pressure monitor is a fully automatic device which works on oscillometric principle. It measures your blood pressure and pulse rate simply and quickly. For comfortable controlled inflation without the need for pressure pre -setting and re-inflation this device uses intellisense technology.
During oscillometric blood pressure measurements, the inflated cuff detects the pulsation of the artery wall as a pressure vibration. The interpretation of these small variable amplitude vibrations provides a blood pressure value.. Each specific manufacturer has it’s own technology of interpreting these oscillations.
